No! With Sleek Air Technology, the Malibee Straightener reduces heat exposure by replacing extreme heat plates with precision heat control at a 45-degree tilt. This innovative design allows airflow to straighten and dry hair simultaneously, helping to preserve shine and smoothness while minimising damage. For best results, we recommend using a heat protectant, as there is still some air heat, but it’s significantly lower than traditional flat irons that use direct heat from plates.

Our Malibee Hair Tools have been safety tested and designed specifically for use in Australia and New Zealand, where the voltage is 230V.

We don’t recommend using our Malibee Hair Tools outside of AU/NZ unless the countries voltage is within the 220-240V range. If their voltage is within this range, a travel adapter can be used.

Using it in countries with a different voltage outside of our 220-240V range can cause damage to the tool or even pose a safety risk - even with a travel adapter.
